Food for GSPs

It is absolutely vital dogs get fed correctly.

Please note that dogs eat meat!! Preferably it should be raw with between 10 & 20% fat content.

Chicken (NEVER leg bones and NEVER cooked chicken bones) beef and lamb.

Please refrain from feeding any preserved meats, such as ham, corned meat, luncheon sausage or any food with preservatives. (Some mince has preservatives, pates have preservatives).

Broadbents feed  their dogs 2 – 4 biscuits (Tux) and 1/2 – 1 kilo of meat supplemented with large bones per day.

Fresh water is essential every day.

Pups are raised on dog milk powder (there is a lot not suitable for pups), raw eggs, calcium, cod liver oil, coarse and fine 20% fat content beef mince – pure no preservatives.

Raw fatty meat on bone is fabulous for growing pups as it helps their body and skeletal development
A good supply of milk powder with added egg, cod liver oil and calcium powder should be fed up until 6 months of age.
